I am a digital artist planning on going into game design in the future. I enjoy drawing, gaming, and fursuiting. I plan to go into a college that offers Game design and game development and hopefully learn to do both trades. I have looked into colleges and most likely will have to get general education out of the way first. I felt like going through the Naviance tasks was like exploring and learning a few more things about what I want to do after highschool. I came across schools that I might be interested in joining, and schools that I would not like to join.
One of the virtual tours that I saw was the Nova Engineering Tour. I learned about the process that they go through in order to make a project and about some of the safety procedures they have to go through to make sure it's safe. I feel like the way things are planned out for an engineering company would be pretty similar to the way games are made just with a couple differences. It was interesting learning about the process and how lengthy it is to get permissions and the project done. Another one of the virtual tours that I went on was the Nova fabrication tour. I learned about what kind of projects they work on. I also learned that most of the Fabrication process is about welding large structural pieces together. It almost reminds me of a puzzle which is kind of fun. I felt that i mostly learned just how many people are needed in order to work on such a big project and it makes me think about how many people will need to work together to make games in the future for me.
